I'm a composer, media strategist and one of the directors of 4DSOUND, a technology platform and artistic collective exploring spatial sound as a medium.
I have a deep interest in the way technology, media and the arts can alter perception - affecting the formation of our personal and social constructs, both positively and adversely. My work draws on a range of influences, from experimental sound design and theory, new immersive technologies, philosophy of mind and the social sciences.
Cultural thinking, media theory and curation
I have concepted and curated several large-scale showcases that examine the role of sound and listening in culture, and write about sound, consciousness and society, with essays, talks and workshops at at Goldsmiths University London, CTM Berlin, TEDxDanubia, Reeperbahn Festival, Creative Mornings and others.
Sound design, composition & performance
I've performed at festivals and showcases such as TodaysArt, Berlin Atonal, Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and the Spatial Sound Institute, Budapest, and was a formative figure in the Japanese techno scene, with longstanding residencies at Tokyo clubs Yellow and Womb.
I have 10 years experience in brand strategy at agencies like BBH, Naked and 72andSunny developing concepts, strategic direction and presentation for brand music and culture platforms like Red Bull Music Academy, Nike Foundation and Deutsche Telekom's Electronic Beats.
